Angellina Song is from North Carolina and she received her Bachelor's and Master's Degree at North Carolina State University with a concentration in Plant Microbial Biology. She has a broad background in different research areas that included working with plant secondary metabolites, pathology, microbiology, and genetics. In Hopkins, she performs routine technical support in the laboratory to support research in identification of glycoproteins associated with HIV latent infection using glycoproteomics and various molecular biology approaches. In addition, she participates in HIV research and development of novel methodology for glycoproteomic analysis of infectious diseases and cancers.
