Jin Song, M.D., Ph.D., Research Program Manager
Dr. Song had been working in identification and characterization of tumor-associated markers for early detection and diagnosis of cancers at the Center for Biomarker Discovery. His research focuses on using high-throughput genomic and proteomic approaches to identify novel markers and their interacting partners; using independent sample sources and platforms to further evaluate their clinical utility; studying cellular functions of markers to better understand the role that they play in the development and progression of cancer; developing new immunoassays on these markers for the clinical applications. Currently, Dr. Song is actively involving on the EDRN-funding projects (ovarian, prostate, and pancreatic cancers) at the center, and focusing on the development of new multiplex immunoassays of disease–associated markers for the clinical applications.
